LASU Departmental Cut-Off Mark

LASU JAMB Cut-off Mark for all Courses

195!

As we said earlier, the LASU JAMB cut-off mark for 2024 is 195.

LASU departmental cut-off mark is usually different from their JAMB cut-off mark.

The departmental cut-off mark is the final mark that will determine a candidate’s admission.

For years now, LASU has not made its departmental merit/ELDS/Catchment cutoff mark public.

If we should judge with previous years, then we will be right to say the LASU departmental cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 session will not be made public.

But if they do make it public, we will update this page as soon as possible.

LASU COURSES OFFERED

LASU offers a broad range of degree programs, with their respective cut-off marks.

The JAMB cut-off mark for the 2024/2025 session is 195.

The 195 JAMB CUT-OFF MARK is for all the LASU courses below:

LASU Tuition Fees and Other Costs

Lagos State University (LASU) offers a relatively affordable education (depending on what you can afford though) compared to other universities. For the most recent session (2023/2024), the fees for newly admitted 100-level students are as follows:

💵 100 Level (Stream 1): ₦90,000 (school fees)
💵 100 Level (Stream 2): ₦180,000 (school fees)
💵 Acceptance Fee: ₦30,000
💵 Medical Fee: ₦30,000

Once you secure admission, the only required payments are the acceptance fee and school fees. As demonstrated, LASU is quite economical compared to other universities, which often have higher upfront costs beyond just tuition and acceptance fees.

🎗️LITTLE ERRORS THAT MAKE CANDIDATE FORFEIT ADMISSION

Many candidates have lost their admission throughout the years as a result of little mistakes made throughout the entire procedure, and it may be quite unpleasant for candidates to lose their admission and have to retake the JAMB exam.

In order to avoid losing your admission this year, I will be discussing some mistakes that you should make sure to avoid doing.

FAILURE TO UPLOAD OLEVEL RESULT TO JAMB CAPS -- Several applicants commit this mistake during the admissions process. It is crucial to upload your Olevel results to Jamb CAPS in order to be considered for admission; failing to do so would result in the candidate losing their spot, even if they score 390 in jamb.

WRONG UTME SUBJECT COMBINATION -- As I previously stated, you will be automatically disqualified by the time you obtain the application form if your jamb subject combination does not correspond to what is needed for the course you are applying for. For this reason, it is crucial that your combination match that required for your choice of course.

INCOMPLETE OLEVEL RESULT -- The Olevel result is also very important in the admissions process. Without the results, a candidate cannot apply to any university, thus it is essential that they have the five CORE subjects needed for the course they want to take.

APPLYING FOR COMPETITIVE COURSE WITH LOW SCREENING AGGREGATE POINT -- Every university in Nigeria offers some extremely competitive courses, which attracts a large number of applications. Additionally, LASU also offers a number of highly competitive courses that overflows with applications. In order for a candidate to have any chance of being admitted into these courses, they must have a very high screening aggregate point, as this will increase their chances of being admitted. I'll drop a guide on how to calculate your SCREENING AGGREGATE POINT again. It's critical that you know your aggregate point before the form is released so you can determine whether you're qualified for the course you're going for.

NOT HAVING A PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT -- Sometimes it can be incredibly irritating to get into the institution of your choosing, especially if you meet all the standards and are still not admitted. To be a step closer too getting admitted into the school of your choice, you need to have a PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT at your side to CONSULT and also guide you through the entire process till you secure that admission.

The admissions process is not about registering the form in a cafe and waiting to be admitted. Instead, you should let a qualified EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT (like DEESWIFT EDUCATIONAL CONSULTS)  handle your registration prior to completing the registration, the consultant will verify that you meet the requirements for the course before going ahead with the registration and additionally too monitor the candidate's admission status to ensure that they are admitted, even if they later need to change their choice of course if needed, the main goal is to ensure the candidate secures admission.
